Soumitra Chatterjee ( Shoumitro
Chôṭṭopaddhae; born 19
January 1935) is an iconic Bengali actor from India, known among other things
for his frequent collaborations with the great Bengali film director Satyajit Ray and his constant comparison with the Bengali screen
idol Uttam Kumar.

Goutam Pal, Sculptor
Gautam Pal was born in a
traditional family of modelers of Krishnagar (a tiny
town in West Bengal) in the year 1949. During his study in college with Physics
he made portrait sculptures under the guidance of his father Sculptor K.C.Paul.
After completing his graduation inspired by his mother Mrs. Rekha
Paul he joined the Government College of Art and Craft, in Kolkata and
worked under Principal C.Kar and Professor Sunil

Jyotirmoyee Sikdar (:জ্যোতির্ময়ী সিকদার) is a Member of
Parliament, India representing Krishnagar (Lok Sabha constituency) of West
Bengal in the 14th Lok Sabha.
She is affiliated to the Communist Party of India (Marxist). She was an athlete
and won the Bronze medals in 800 m and 1500 m events in the 1998 Asian Games.
She is a recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award for the year 1998-1999. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2003. In August
2004, she was in the news when her husband was arrested on charges of running a
sex racket in Kolkata.
Soma Biswas, Athlete

Soma Biswas (born 16 May 1978 in Ranaghat[1]) is an athlete who lives in Kolkata, India and
who specialises in the heptathlon. She rose to fame
when she won the silver medal in 2002 Asian Games in Busan,
South Korea. She won another silver medal at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha. She
managed to win the 110m hurdles, the 200m and the 800m during that heptathlon. Biswas worked with Kuntal Rai and several foreign coaches.
Jhulan Goswami, Cricketer

Jhulan Goswami (born 25 November 1983,
Nadia, Bengal, India) is an all round cricketer who plays for the India
national women's cricket team, Bengal Women, East Zone Women as well as the
Asia Women XI women's cricket team. She is currently the Indian Women's cricket
team captain. On 1 February 2009, she was appointed to lead the team for the
